About the Journal

The Torvergata Oncoscience Research Centre hosts the editorial office of the scientific journal group CDDpress. In 1994, the scientists of the Department launched Cell Death Differentiation, the first scientific journal dedicated to cell death. Following the immediate and continuous success of Cell Death Differentiation, in partnership with Springer-Nature (formerly Nature Publishing Group), a second (Cell Death Disease, 2010) and a third (Cell Death Discovery, 2015) journal were launched. The Editorial Office has therefore a unique expertise in high quality scientific publishing, offering training opportunities for younger scientists and junior PIs as well as scientific advice to the scientists of the TOR.

Cell Death and Differentiation (CDD) is an academic scientific journal established in 1994.
The Aims and scope are:
To devote itself to scientific excellence in the field of cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry of cell death and disease.
To provide a unified forum for scientists and clinical researchers
To commit itself to the rapid publication of high-quality original papers, together with topical, usually solicited, reviews, meeting reports, editorial correspondence and occasional commentaries on controversial and scientifically informative issues.

CDD publishes high-quality, independently peer-reviewed research and review articles, as well as comment and news, for the basic and clinical biomedical research communities. The journal employs pioneering technologies, innovative formats and first-class editing to provide cutting-edge, timely yet readable information for researchers in the public and private sectors, government agencies, educators, clinicians and the general public.  Based on a fully academic editorial staff, which constantly keeps an open communication with the active community of authors and readers and placing emphasis on the scientific excellence, CDD represents a leading journal for innovative solutions to scientists’ information needs.

Brought to life in 2010 by the editorial team of Cell Death & Differentiation, Cell Death & Disease (CDDisease) is a peer-reviewed online-only open access journal in the field of translational cell death. It seeks to promote diverse and integrated areas of experimental and internal medicine with its specialties, including cancer, immunity and neuroscience. It is now also accepting articles in a new area: cancer metabolism. CDDisease seeks to encompass the breadth of translational implications of cell death, and topics of particular concentration will include, but are not limited to, the following: Experimental medicine, Cancer, Immunity, Neuroscience, Metabolism.

Cell Death Discovery (CDDiscovery) is a multidisciplinary, international, online-only, open access journal, dedicated to publishing research at the intersection of medicine with biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, cell biology and cell death, provided it is scientifically sound. The unrestricted access to research findings in CDDiscovery will foster a dynamic and highly productive dialogue between basic scientists and clinicians as well as researchers in industry with a focus on cancer, neurobiology and inflammation research. CDDiscovery builds upon the success of CDD and CDDisease in publishing relevant peer-reviewed original research, timely reviews and editorial commentaries.
